Assist in recruitment and selection activities. <br />3. Assist with assessing firefighter pG[fQ[nlainCe. <br />]. Provide input inthe, fire officer selection process. <br />4. Assist Fire [hi8fin ensuring work rules and procedures are upheld consistently. <br />C. Assumes the role ofthe Fire Official |nthe [hief'sabsence. <br />1. Fills in all roles both @dnlimiSt[ativ8lyand operational. <br />D. Assists with enforcement all applicable/adopted filre codes including oatiOD@[ state, city <br />and other related, codes. <br />Enforces all applicable/adopted fire codes including national, state, city and other <br />related codes. <br />I. Through imspect�ionsamd education, identify, report, notify and correct issues in <br />violation of applicable fire codes. <br />Z. Make interpretation ofissues not specifically covered inthe above <br />mentioned codes. <br />3. Writes orders ofnon-compliance offire and life safety codes. <br />4, Along with the City Attorney maintains procedures for non-compliance, <br />E. In conjunction with the Building Division, assists iD reviewing plans and specification 8f <br />proposed buildings, systems and/or changes tDinsure conformance tOall applicable <br />codes. <br />I. Works with, Building Official tDreview plans, specifications, and changes. <br />Notes compliance issues and resolves asrequired. <br />F. Conducts inspections Dfexisting structures and systems tUassure COm,pli8nCeOfall <br />@ppUC8h|e, fire codes including meeting with, public, business owners, and others <br />regarding compliance issues. <br />G. Attends Development Review meetings asrequired. <br />l. Along with or independent of the Fire [hief, attend meetings to G35mre fire safety is <br />addressed in, new construction and plans. <br />H. Develops/amends/maintains Uoca| policy meUatingto local and state fire code issues. <br />1. Participates with, efforts t0consolidate multi -city fire services. <br />I.
