DATE <br /> <br />EOA[ZD OF COUI,,:TY AnoEa Co u <br /> <br />5/12/81 RESOLUTION NO. 81-46 <br /> <br />OFFERED BY COMMISSIONER Ryan <br /> <br />SUBMISSION OF URBAN ANOKA COUNTY ENTITLEMENT APPLICATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act 1974, <br />as amended, provides for a program of Community Development Block Grants; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County, Minnesota qualifies under said law as an <br />"Urban County" eligible to receive Community Development Block Grant <br />funds; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County's population, among other factors, is the <br />determinant of the eligibility of the County and the amount of resources <br />which may be made available to the County to undertake activities under <br />the afore-referenced law; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Part 570, Chapter 5 of Title 24 of the Code of Federal <br />Regulations sets forth regulations covering the acceptability and use of <br />funds under Title l; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, formal public hearings have been held at the local level, <br />i~ each of the five planning areas and at the County Board to obtain <br />views and to respond to citizen proposals and questions; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Citizen Steering Committees of the five planning areas <br />representing the citizens of each participating local governmental unit <br />have participated in the processes leading to the completed Community <br />Development Block Grant Application; and, <br /> <br /> WHERE/tS, the Technical Advisory Comnittees of each of the five <br />planning areas have aided in the development of the Comuntty Development <br />Block Grant Application; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County'staff have completed a Community Profile, <br />have summarized the Community Development and Housing needs of Anoka --- <br />County, and have developed the Community Development and Housing Strategies; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the citizens, staff and officials of all participating <br />units of government have cooperated to propose projects for Entitlement <br />funding based on the Community Development and Housing Strategies of <br />Anoka County; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Urban Anoka County has completed an application for a <br />Community Development Block Grant pursuant to the Community Development <br />Act of 1974, as amended: <br /> <br /> <br />
