b) The State's Workmen's Compensation Insurance law <br />which is extremely financially burdensome on our small <br />businessmen. <br /> <br />c) The State's Local Aid to Cities Tax Relief. Here <br />the State of Minnesota has absolutely ignored the City <br />of Ramsey's plea for a fair and equitable law. <br /> <br />d) The State's law that set up the Municipal State <br />Aid Street Apportionment of funds to cities over 5,000 <br />population. This law is absolutely not equitable to <br />the growth centers such as cities like Ramsey. <br /> <br /> 2) This request is being made in hopes that the'citizens <br />and City Council of the City of Ra~sey can meet with you and point out <br />how the above is having a dire affect on the City of Rnmsey and evidently <br />the whole State of Minnesota which was pointed out by KSTP Television <br />in a recent series of broadcasts. It has always been said that you are <br />the one political leader in our State who will travel to a community to <br />hear from its citizens and its elected leaders. Consequently, we are <br />requesting that you do come to our community and hear about the above <br />problems. <br /> <br /> 3) The City of Ramsey further requests that this meeting <br />take place before our legislative session adjourns. We would greatly <br />appreciate a response on this request as to the date and time you Can <br />meet with the City of Ramsey at the Ramsey..Municipal Center. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilmember Reimann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, CoUncilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, Reimanu, <br />and Cox <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />R~m~ey City Council this the 12th day of May, 1981. <br /> <br /> <br />
