TO: City Administrator

FROM: Building Official

RE: Monthly Report

DATE: May 21, 1981

Building continued at a fairly stable level with nine houses for the
month. Most of these are dwellings being built by individuals and not
by builders.

I have reviewed the report we received from the City of Andover's Build-
ing Inspector in regards to a dwelling constructed at 16566 Argon Street
N.W. This dwelling was constructed in 1972 under Ramsey Township juris-
diction and later became a part of Andover when the two cities incor-
porated. I would note that I concur with the report as construction
deficiencies as I too have also inspected this dwelling. The City
Attorney should address our potential liabilities of the City if named
in a lawsuit. (This report has been made a part of Letters and
Conmunications.)

Other items for the month included a letter to the owner of 17231 Zeolite
Street to fence a man made pond and a letter to a sewer contractor for
failing to have a septic system repair job inspected.

I also discussed the problem of parking the trailers withMr. Guy and
although not ideal, has made an effort so somewhat rectify the problem
by moving some of the trailers. We will continue to monitor this
problem when we are in the area too.

Permits issued, mileage and inspections are as follows:

Permits Issued

Permit Fee Valuation Surcharge

A.
