If the area is to have a total environ- <br /> mental improvement program for the Mississippi <br /> River, overflows will not be tolerated as they <br /> presently exist. The 201 Systemwide Analysis <br /> Studies recognize the combined Sewer Overfl6w <br /> Problem (CSO). <br />The added CAB area flows, up to the year 1988+ <br />or 1988- will be negligible. Will the CAB pro- <br />gram be approved on its own merits without being <br />tied to the East Interceptor funding programs and <br />construction scheduling? <br /> <br />Does the East Interceptor require improvement <br />without the minor CAB flows? <br /> <br />C. Metropolitan Treatment Plant At Pig's Eye Island <br /> <br />The Metro Plant is presently undergoing extensive im- <br />provements to all phases of plant operations. This <br />extensive program is scheduled for completion during <br />1984.
