85 <br /> <br />"Treatment" includes any activity or processing designed to change <br />the physical form or chemical.composition of hazardous waste to make <br />it nonhazardous, safer for transport, capable of recovery or storage, <br />or to reduce it in volume. <br /> <br /> "Waste" means solid waste, sewage sludge and hazardous waste. <br /> <br /> "Waste facility" means all property real or personal~ including <br /> negative ~nd positive easements and water and air rights, which is or <br /> may be needed or useful for the processina or disnosal of wast- <br /> except property use-~d--~i~-~i~--f~r the ma~u}~c'tur~ of s~-~ap me~l o__r <br /> paper. Waste facility includes but is not limited to ~ransfer <br /> stations~ ~-~cessing facilities and ~sposal sites and facilities. <br /> <br />"Waste management" means activities that are intended to affect or <br />control the collection, processing and disposal of wastes. <br /> <br />"Waste reduction" is the process of reducing the amount of solid or <br />hazardous waste generated through product reuse, increased product <br />life, reduced material use in product design, and decreased <br />consumption of products. <br /> <br />"Waterwall incinerator" is a type of incinerator with furnace walls <br />of vertically arranged metal tubes joined side to side with metal <br />braces. Radiant energy from burning solid waste is absorbed by water <br />passing through the tubes. Additional boiler packages, located in <br />the flue, control the conversion of this water to steam of a <br />specified temperaure and pressure. <br /> <br /> <br />
