OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY May 20, 1981 REF: 5133 ND Dear General Revenue Sharing Recipient: The data of record in the Office of Revenue Sharing for your government for Entitlement Period 13 (October 1, 1981 - September 30, 1982) are provided on the enclosed ORS Form 3233. These data were used to compute the estimated Entitlement Period 13 allocation amount also shown on the form. Data Improvement ProKram This notice is to provide an opportunity for your government to verify its general revenue sharing (GRS) data for Entitlement Period 13. The definitions of the data elements, and their reference dates, are contained in the enclosed booklet. If you believe there are errors in these data, considering these definitions and dates, please enter your proposed corrections in the spaces provided on the enclosed form and return it, together with supporting documentation (Census Bureau certi- fications, audit reports, etc.) to serve as a basis for review of the data. If you agree with the data as printed on the enclosed notice, then no action is necessary on your part and it will be assumed that the data are correct as shown. Ail data correction proposals should be received by this Office by June 19~ 1981 to allow sufficient review time prior to the initial allocation of Entitlement Period 13 funds. Your government will be notified of its initial Entitlement Period 13 allo- cation amount on the Statement of Assurances Form for this period which is scheduled to be mailed in September 1981. Upon receipt of each data correction proposal, the Office of Revenue Sharing, the Bureau of the Census, and other appropriate agencies will substantiate or correct the data and this Office will advise the govern- ment making such proposal of the results of this review. As provided for in the Amendments to the Revenue Sharing Act, the data for Entitlement Period 13 are open to challenge until September 30, 1983, one year after the end of the period. .' ~ Estimated Entitlement Period 13 Allocation The estimated Entitlement Period 13 allocation amount shown on O~S Form 3233 was computed using the data reported oD the form. If this allocation amount is not believed to be correct, please check all data carefully to find the source of the discrepancy. The impact of individual data factors upon a government's general revenue sharing allocation is discussed elsewhere in this letter.
