Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #23-095 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RAMSEY LIONS CLUB APPLICATION TO <br />CONDUCT OFF -SITE GAMBLING AT RAMSEY HAPPY DAYS <br />WHEREAS, The Ramsey Lions Club has submitted an application to conduct <br />gambling events — raffle and tipboards at the Ramsey Happy Days event in September 2023; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming <br />requires the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the <br />application. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the application to conduct off -site <br />gambling for the Ramsey Lions Group at Ramsey Happy Days 7550 Sunwood Drive. <br />Ramsey. <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator or Finance <br />Director to sign the application and any other documents required by the Minnesota <br />Gambling Board. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember, and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 9th day of May, 2023. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />
