However,
I recommend that the present Board members do not become involved in
selecting the interim Director becatme I do not think that they can, at this
I ['~ time, function as a viable responsible board.
c) Recommend that an Executive Search consulting firm be utilized in
the hiring of the new permanent Director. Further, the present Boa~l members
m M should not have any input into this until their alleged problems are resolved.
A
d) Recommend that the appropriate Senate and House Committees hold
m joint hearings on the conduct of the PERA Board and its present interim
Director regarding the alleged violations of State Laws in the conducting
of PERA business. ·

I e) Recommend that the Attorney General investigate the above alleged
violation and any other violations that may have occurred which fall into
I K the category of improper management by the Board and its Director.
f) Recommend that the State Legislative Auditor conduct a thorough
audit of PERA funds to assure that there has not been any
I misuse/mismanagement pension
of
funds.

I
II
