TO:

FROM:

RE:

DATE:

City Administrator

City Assessor

Monthly Assessing Report

November Z0, 1984

I attended the first day of the annual three day short course for assessors on
the 16th of November. The second and third days are on November 28 and 29.
We have to attend this course to maintain our certification.

I'm still spending a considerable amount of time doing inspections. Some days
more in inspecting than assessing.

I will have covered about 40% of the total viewing of Ramsey by December
1. The reason for the 40% instead of 25% is because of the waving of the vie~'ing
for one year to transfer data on the computer. I will pick up the other 10%
with the normal 25% for the 1986 assessment.

Included in my report you will find a copy of the changes in commercial values
from year to year. The calculation on the lower righthand comer shows the
% we are behind. This is actually more than I reported at the November 13
Council meeting. Another 5% would still leave the value-+/-10% below today's
value. The 85% represents the amount of actual cost. This is where we try
to be for commercial values.

This concludes my report.

Submitted by,

Lester D. Wirz
City Assessor
