CG[JNTRYSIDE ES~]%TES: <br /> <br />Enclosure (D2-f) contains a letter from City Attorney Goodrich dated <br />Novenber 24, 1984 which forwards a co~y of the County Auditor's letter <br />dated August 17, 1984 regarding delinquent property taxes due on the <br />above stated Outlot. As Bill states in his letter, the County can't <br />abate said property taxes on Outlot "B", Countryside Estates. Conse- <br />quently, I agree with their recommendation to let those delinquent <br />taxes 9o unpaid and when the property goes tax forfeit, which will be <br />in August or Sept~nber 1985, the City will be able to acquire it for <br />$10.00. Bowever, you can acquire it by paying the taxes on it. We <br />should have your verbal direction on this for the record. <br /> <br />Q~/~: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of the <br />above. <br /> <br />At the November 13, 1984 Council meeting, the City Assessor discussed <br />raising oon~ercial property valuation. Accordingly, Council requested <br />that the Assessor repart back at this meeting. Further, the Council <br />requested that the City Administrator check into this issue. <br /> <br />I discussed commercial property valuations with Mr. Gayle Leone, Anoka <br />County Assessor, on November 20, 1984. Be feels if the City raises <br />their oo~ercial property valuation on the facilities three to four <br />percent, you will be showing the State Commissioner of Revenue that <br />you are trying to maintain it. Be stated that the State Commissioner <br />of Revenue is watching this very carefully. <br /> <br />Qt~: Your action will be to give direction to the City <br />Assessor as to what you want done on this issue. <br /> <br /> <br />
