t5:

(1%SE 16:

AGO~JIRING iF GU]I/DT "B". CG[JNTRYSIDE ES~]%TES:

Enclosure (D2-f) contains a letter from City Attorney Goodrich dated
Novenber 24, 1984 which forwards a co~y of the County Auditor's letter
dated August 17, 1984 regarding delinquent property taxes due on the
above stated Outlot. As Bill states in his letter, the County can't
abate said property taxes on Outlot "B", Countryside Estates. Conse-
quently, I agree with their recommendation to let those delinquent
taxes 9o unpaid and when the property goes tax forfeit, which will be
in August or Sept~nber 1985, the City will be able to acquire it for
$10.00. Bowever, you can acquire it by paying the taxes on it. We
should have your verbal direction on this for the record.

Q~/~: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of the
above.

At the November 13, 1984 Council meeting, the City Assessor discussed
raising oon~ercial property valuation. Accordingly, Council requested
that the Assessor repart back at this meeting. Further, the Council
requested that the City Administrator check into this issue.

I discussed commercial property valuations with Mr. Gayle Leone, Anoka
County Assessor, on November 20, 1984. Be feels if the City raises
their oo~ercial property valuation on the facilities three to four
percent, you will be showing the State Commissioner of Revenue that
you are trying to maintain it. Be stated that the State Commissioner
of Revenue is watching this very carefully.

Qt~: Your action will be to give direction to the City
Assessor as to what you want done on this issue.
