REQUEST FOR BID <br />PROPOSAL - ~A~A <br />PAGE THI{EE <br /> <br />SCOPE OF: <br />WORK : <br /> <br />7. To analyze, describe and summarize job evaluation <br /> data compared with distribution of current <br /> compensation and external survey data; to determine <br /> discrepancies between: job evaluation results and <br /> current compensation; job evaluation results and <br /> external survey data; current compensation and <br /> external survey data. <br /> <br />8. To recommend strategies for dealing with <br /> discrepancies noted in the preceding analyses in <br /> order to comply with the Comparable Worth Act and <br /> to establish equitable pay relationships for all <br /> benchmark jobs based on "reasonable relationships" <br /> considering both internal and external <br /> comparability. (This would include recommending <br /> options for compensation levels for benchmark Oobs <br /> and options for implementing procedures to achieve <br /> pay equity.) <br /> <br /> 9. To meet reporting requirements to the State <br /> Commissioner of Employee Relations as directed by <br /> the statute. <br /> <br />10. To maximize potential acceptance by unionized and <br /> nonunionized employees, exclusive bargaining agents <br /> and elected officials; to minimize employee <br /> dissatisfaction; to minimize the possibility of <br /> litigation. <br /> <br />The bid proposal should include a complete <br />address each of the action items included <br />following study components: <br /> <br />work plan to <br />in the <br /> <br />Study Planning and Management <br /> <br />1. Describe the plannin~ and management structures <br /> recommended by the consultant to manage and <br /> complete the study. (The role of the <br /> consultant in interacting with the cities %o <br /> plan and complete the work should be clearly <br /> defined.) <br /> <br />2. Identify individuals to be assigned to study <br /> components. A 'reasonably balanced" team of <br /> male and female professionals is a requirement <br /> made by the proposer. Indicate os what basis <br /> consultant replacements, if any, are to be <br /> made. <br /> <br /> <br />
