Councilmember moved for its adoption: introduced the RESC~UTION t84- following resolution and RESOLUTION APPROVING OF PARTICIPATING IN JOINT COMPENSATION STUDY (COMPARABLE WORTH ACT) WITH METHO AREA MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, Minnesota "Comparable Worth Act" M>S> 471.991 through 471.999 requires that Cities and other political subdivisions establish equitable compensation relationship on the basis of "oomparable work value", and WHEREAS, the Metro Area Management Association has requested that all Metro Area Cities joint together on doing a joint compensation study through the use of a private consulting firm. The cost of this would be charged on a pro rata basis; WHEREAS, the estimated cost for the subject study will be$ NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby approves of participating in the Joint Compensation Study (Comparable Worth Act) with the Metro Area Management Association at a mst mt to ~ceed $ 2) That the cost of this tudy will be charged to U~l~ted 101-493~1143. 3) That it is further directed that a copy of this resolution ~ furni~ed to the Ac~ng ~r~ent. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the R~sey City Council this the 27th day of November, 1984.
