Councilmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the <br /> RESC~UTION t84- <br /> <br />following <br /> <br />resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING OF PARTICIPATING IN JOINT COMPENSATION STUDY <br />(COMPARABLE WORTH ACT) WITH METHO AREA MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota "Comparable Worth Act" M>S> 471.991 <br />through 471.999 requires that Cities and other political <br />subdivisions establish equitable compensation relationship on the <br />basis of "oomparable work value", and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metro Area Management Association has <br /> requested that all Metro Area Cities joint together on doing a <br /> joint compensation study through the use of a private consulting <br /> firm. The cost of this would be charged on a pro rata basis; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the estimated cost for the subject study will <br />be$ <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby <br />approves of participating in the Joint Compensation Study <br />(Comparable Worth Act) with the Metro Area Management Association <br />at a mst mt to ~ceed $ <br /> <br /> 2) That the cost of this tudy will be charged to <br />U~l~ted 101-493~1143. <br /> <br /> 3) That it is further directed that a copy of this <br />resolution ~ furni~ed to the Ac~ng ~r~ent. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the R~sey City Council this the 27th day of November, 1984. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> City Administrator/Clerk <br /> <br />I hereby acknowledge receipt of the <br />above resolution. <br /> <br /> <br />
