Torat Project Cost $75,000
The skateboard area could be located within Central Park, the Elementary School's existing hockey rinks, or ~n a park in
the Ramsey Town Center development.

Justification

For cwo consecutive years, a request has been made for a dedicated skateboard area in Kamsey. Utilizing a paved rink
at Central Park provides year-round use of the features already tn place, such as lighting, rink boards and the warming
house. There is a tentative proposal to place a skate park in Kamsey Town Center. Prior to committing to a skate park,
an informal survey of cities with parks should be conducted to evaluate impacts including increased staffing/shifting
work hours, need for repairs, injuries and other factors that could impact the City's involvement with this ~pe of feature

Expenditures 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 Total
lm~rovemen~ Other than Bull 75.000 7~,000
75,000 75,000

TotaJ

Funding Sources 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 Total
General Fund 25,000 25,000
park Improvement Trust Fund 50,000 5O,00O
Total 7~,ooo 7~,0oo

12 Revised/010.~
