Capital Improvement Program
City. of Ramsey, Minnesota

2006 thru 2010

?roll=t# 06-PARK-013
?roject Name Peltzer Park Connections

Type Improvement
Useful-Life 20 Years

Priority ma

] Total Project Cost $25,000
Description ~
Extending the access trail to the play equipment - around the cul de sac easterly to right-of-way on 148th lane.

The second connection, further to the east, would require acquisition of part of the lot presentlYo?anaged by M?CA.
This would allow for street, and/or trail connections from 148th to the cul de sac of Garnet Street.

Justification

Two important trail opportunities ex/st relative to Peltzer Park. The first is immediately available, and consists of
extending the access trail to the play equipment - around the cuI de sac easterly to right-of-way on I48th lane. This
>rovides resident of Regency Ponds more of a direct access to the park.

the second connection, furthen to the east, would require acquisition of part of the lot presently managed, by MPCA.
This would allow for street, andTor trail connections from 148th to the'cul de sac of Garnet Street, and thereby improve
access to both Peltzer and Alpine Parks - as well as provide a circuitous walking loop within these neighborhoods. (See
also Savanna Trail bridge.)

Modest slsna~e and improved landscape at Peltzer would be a benefit as well.

Expenditures 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 Total
~c 0 25,0~0

Funding Sources 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 Total
Park lml:>rovement Trust FunO 25,000 25,000
Total 21000 25.000

Rev~aed / 0/05
42:
