As stated in an eaMier point in this letter, why have Ramsey resemble any/every other suburb? When drivin8 throu]h the §eneral area it is already difficult to tell when you leave one city and enter another city. How about this for a new concept? Allow Ramsey to be "different" from the rest, a respite so to speak, from cluster housinS, additional retail businesses... People moved to Ramsey for its 'openness~ it~ fresli a% its rural feel{n~, its tack of commerdal/retail businesses. People did not move to Ramsey fo----~ duster housdn~, city sewer/water, and the 'claustrophobia' and commerdalism beinB thrust upon it r~ident~ by the city coundL EnCee new residen~ to a "unique" Ramsey by promotin~ Ramsey's openness and fresh air in Rather than buildin] new homes on every available open space in the city, try · feel ~. . ....... ~ ~-~-~n- homes for sale within the dry? As of March 9 , encoura~ir~ people to purcn~ cut ~^,*-, s accordin~ to Minnesota's Multiple List~n~ Service online, there were Z32 available single family houses, duplexes, condo/townhouses and farms/hobby farms for sale. There are existin~ homes sittin~ vacant while new homes continue to be built. Where's the loBtc? Get the vacant homes titled before buildinB new homes that could also sit vacant. To put it simply, this cluster houstn~ p..ro~ect is a lousy idea, a_[on~ with the commercialism that is invadin~ our beloved Ramsey. More residents than you can imaBine are opposed to the ,, ' hitos0 h ." The council may find this difficult to city counciVs so called pro~res~ve p P Y believe, but not att the dty's residents are in favor of additional people c~mmed into our living spaces, or the thought of a Target/Caribou Coffee/Great Clips etc. in our backyards] One last point, should this sad trend contlnue in Ramsey, I can assure you that if any of the current council member~ are re-elected at the next election it will not be due to any vote that I wou~d cast in your favor! -181-
