Council Member __ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #06-04-XXX RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #05-20, RAMSEY BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENTS WltEREAS, on January 24, 2006, City Council adopted Resolution #06-01-035 approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #05-20, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the five quotes that were received: Bidder Park Construction Company Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. Hardrives, Inc. Bauerly Bros., Inc. C. S. McCrossan Construction, Inc. Amount of Bid $1,782,258.47 $1,848,642.29 $1,882,153.43 $1,949,850.62 $1,999,283.10 Engineers Estimate: $1,892,877.15 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Park Construction Company is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: I) That the Mayor and City Administrator ~re hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Park Construction Company in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of Improvement Project #05-20 in the amount of $1,782,258.47. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi and the following voted against the same: none and the following abstained: -215-
