Section 8.5--appearance and dress policy--This is a new policy that Committ,ee <br />members may want to be aware off <br /> <br />Section 10.3--tuition reimbursement--The revised personnel policy proposes to <br />allow employees to request reimbursement for job-related degree programs. In <br />addition to tuition and laboratory fees, the revised personnel policy proposes that <br />the City will cover 50% of the cost of books. <br /> <br />Section 13--4rug free workplace policy--This is a new policy that allows the <br />City to have existing employees tested for drugs or alcohol if there is reasonable <br />suspicion that employees are under the influence or drugs or alcohol during work <br />hours. The City's current policy only allows for similar testing of employees <br />who perform safety-sensitive duties (i.e., public works maintenance workers). <br /> <br />Complete copies of the revised personnel policy will be provided to City Council Members <br />in hardcopy format.
