The consensus of the Committee was to direct staff not to proceed with the other alternatives <br />discussed at the Febmary meeting for this intersection. <br /> <br />(b) TH 47 & 167th Avenue <br /> <br />The consensus of the Committee was to discuss the intersection of TH 47 & 167th Avenue at the <br />work session following the Committee meeting. <br /> <br />(c) No Passing Zone on CSAH 5 between Alpine & TH 47 <br /> <br />A review that a no passing zone on CSAH 5 between Alpine Drive and TH 47 was discussed at a <br />previous Committee meeting. Staff requested direction from the Committee on whether staff <br />should proceed with making this area a no passing zone. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Committee was to direct staff to proceed with making a no passing zone on <br />CSAH 5 between Alpine Drive and TH 47. <br /> <br />Update on Well No. 3 Repair <br /> <br />The Utilities Supervisor reported that Well No. 3 is now up and running and that the worst case <br />scenario for the repair of Well No. 3 was at a cost of $17,000. The repair is now estimated at <br />approximately $9,400. A well preventative maintenance schedule has been prepared at a cost of <br />$90 per well, which includes a yearly check on each well. <br /> <br />No action required. <br /> <br />Committee Direction to Staff <br /> <br />The possibility of a crosswalk on 167th Avenue in the area of Elmcrest Park was suggested and <br />the consensus of the Committee was to direct staff to draft a recommendation on the location for <br />a crosswalk on 167th Avenue in the area of Elmcrest Park. <br /> <br />Staffwas also directed to check into the timing of the stoplight on Sunwood Drive and TH 47. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />Public Works Director/Principal City Engineer <br />City Engineer <br /> <br />CC: 04/11/06 <br /> <br />-270- <br /> <br /> <br />
