<br />Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #23-105 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2023 MSA <br />PAVEMENT MARKING IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #23-13 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, visible pavement marking is a critical component of driver and pedestrian safety and <br />are a required maintenance operation per MSA rules and standards; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 2023 – 2032 Capital Improvement Program includes an annual MSA Pavement <br />Marking Improvements project to perform pavement markings on a 7-year cycle, outside of reconstructions <br />and pavement overlays; and <br /> <br />WHERAS, City Staff has prepared plans and specifications for Improvement Project #23-13, 2023 <br />MSA Pavement Marking Improvements; and <br /> <br />WHERAS, requests for proposals were submitted to three (3) firms for the purpose of obtaining <br />quotes for completing the proposed pavement marking improvements; and <br /> <br />WHERAS, the one (1) proposal received is tabulated below; and <br /> <br />PROPOSALS RECIEVED <br />Contractor Total Quote <br />Sir Lines-A-Lot $68,703.00 <br /> <br />WHERAS, the quote of Sir Lines-A-Lot, in the total amount of $68,703.00 for said services in <br />accordance with the prepared proposals is the lowest responsible quote and their quote shall be and hereby <br />is accepted. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Sir Lines-A-Lot for said pavement marking services for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Woestehoff, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Olson <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
