Subject: Safe e,,dt out of R/verwood Hills South

At the present, we have a serious tnffic problem at the ~ntersection of 177 Ave N~ and
Erkium. By adding more umedc coming from the South on Erldum, the problem will
greatly increase and will not be able to be corrected. P, dverwood Hills Platt 1 is river
bottom land, and the only road out goes up a steep hill with a sharp curve half way up.
When this was developed, a house should not have been put at 17700 Cotbalt, so this kill
would not have a sharp curve h~f way up. During the winter, when thc hill is slippery,
you can't stop on the hill or you can't get started again and you will block traffic going in
or out. By adding any more ~a/~ic coming from the South on Erkiurm tra/fic will get
~talled on the hill during slippery conditions and lock up this nei~hborhood of. 24 homes.
Any fi.re,medical, or police vehicles could not respond.
In past snow storms, this nei~hood has been isolated, because we can't get up th~s hill
undll it has been plowed out later in the day.
Even now when you exit and make the curve at 177 Ave N~V and ErKium, some cars
comIng from the south on Eridum will not stop and cut you off. It's not the ~,vo residence
from the south, but service or other vehicles. Traffic accidents are inevitable, if mor~
tra~c comes from the south on Erk. ium.
If five or whatever number of home ~rc added to this 40 acres, the exit from this project
should be to Fluorine St or another road to the west to insure a safe exit for Riverwood
Hills Plat 1. You have only 11 homes that e,,dt on Fluorine St, while at the present .34
homes exit on Erkium St. Erkium St should deadend as it connect~ with 177 Ave.

14
