Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #06-04-3LXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 2006 <br />PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - DIVISION A CRACKSEALING AND <br />SEAt, COATING (IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS 06-01 THROUGH 06~03) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the plans and specifications and the <br />advertisement for bids for the above-referenced work on March 28, 2006; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2006 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on April 21, 2006; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the following bids were received for the 2006 Street Maintenance Program <br /> <br />Division A Cracksealing and Sealcoating: <br /> <br />Bidder <br />ASTECH Corp. <br />Allied Blacktop <br />Pearson Brothers <br /> <br />-Engineers Estimate <br /> <br />Amount ofBid <br /> $103,684.50 <br /> $103,901.95 <br /> $132,850.50 <br /> <br />$97,967.79 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, ASTECH Corp. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with ASTECH Corp. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 2006 Pavement <br />Maintenance Program - Division A, Cracksealing and Sealcoating (Improvement Projects <br />06-01 through 06-03) in the amount of $103,684.50. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />__ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-04-XXX <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />-373- <br /> <br /> <br />
