CC Regular Session Meeting Date: 06/ 13/2023 Submitted For: Stephanie Hanson, Community Development By: Stephanie Hanson, Community Development Information Title Adopt Resolution #23-124 Approving Department of Labor and Industry Plan Review Agreement Purpose/Background: 5.12. Currently, the Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI) conducts commercial and public plumbing plan reviews. MN Statute 326B.43 Subd 2 permits the delegation of authority for plumbing plan review for commercial and public projects to municipalities. As part of the process, the City of Ramsey City Council must endorse the application and submittal of an agreement with the State of MN. Attached to the case is the agreement and Resolution #23-124, approving the agreement. To obtain the special delegation, there are several steps the City must take. These steps include the adoption of Ordinance #23-10 Amendment to Chapter 105, Building and Building Regulations (case 14275) and offering local plumbing plan review services and adopting Resolution 23-123, Approving Building Official Inspection Services (case 14273). Once approved, all required documents will be submitted to DOLI for final approval and delegation. Consulting services will begin once DOLI approves the delegation and Ordinance #23-10 is published for thirty (30) days. Notification: No public notification required.
