Member Wiyninger was elected as Chairperson. He asked for interest from the members in the position <br />of Vice Chairperson. <br />Member Stewart commented that she is interested in the position and provided details on her interest. <br />Member MacLennan stated that he had spoken with Member Stewart prior to the meeting, and she had <br />expressed interest, therefore he would not want to compete against her for that position and would prefer <br />to be a regular member of the EDA. <br />Chairperson Wiyninger opened the floor for nominations for the position of Vice Chairperson. <br />Motion by Member MacLennan, seconded by Member Johnson, to elect Shanna Stewart as Vice <br />Chairperson of the Economic Development Authority through March 31, 2024. <br />A roll call vote was performed: <br />Member Lindahl <br />aye <br />Member Johnson <br />aye <br />Member MacLennan <br />aye <br />Chairperson Wiyninger <br />aye <br />Member Riley <br />aye <br />Member Howell <br />aye <br />Member Stewart <br />abstain <br />Motion carried. <br />Member Stewart was elected as Vice Chairperson. <br />4.02: Select 2023 Ramsey Business of the Year <br />Economic Development Manager Sullivan presented the staff report. <br />Member Stewart asked who has been on the list for the last three years. <br />Economic Development Manager Sullivan reviewed the nominee list and number of years each has been <br />on the list. <br />Member MacLennan asked how the businesses are put on the list. <br />Economic Development Manager Sullivan commented that the list was created years ago with input from <br />staff and/or the EDA, providing additional explanation. <br />Member MacLennan asked if businesses are notified when they are placed on the list. <br />Economic Development Authority/ April 13, 2023 <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />
