<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #23-123 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE BUILDING OFFICIAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH <br />RUM RIVER CONSULTANTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry conducts plumbing plan <br />reviews for commercial and public projects for the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, MN Statutes 326B.43 Subd 2 permits the delegation of authority for <br />commercial plumbing plan reviews to municipalities with the required credentials; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Rum River Consultants submitted an agreement for consideration to provide <br />professional building inspection services on behalf of the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Rum River Consultants meets the credentials and has a master plumber on <br />staff to complete commercial and public plumbing plan reviews; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Ramsey supports entering into such agreement with Rum River <br />Consultants to conduct building inspection services as needed and designate Rum River <br />Consultants to perform commercial and public plumbing plan reviews on behalf of the City of <br />Ramsey as required by Minnesota Statutes 326B.43 Subd 2. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) The City Council hereby approves an agreement between the City of Ramsey and Rum <br />River Consultants for the purpose of providing professional building official services on <br />an as-need basis and designates Rum River Consultants to perform commercial and public <br />plumbing plan review on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />2) The agreement shall be effective when the Department of Labor and Industry approves the <br />delegation request and Ordinance #23-10 has been published for thirty (30) days. <br /> <br />3) The approval of the agreement is contingent upon the adoption of Ordinance #23-10, <br />Amendment to Chapter 105, Building and Building Regulations. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Musgrove, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Olson <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> <br />
