<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #23-127 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING MINNESOTA LAWS, 2023 REGULAR SESSION <br />CHAPTER 64, ARTICLE 8, SECTION 10 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 2023 regular session of the Minnesota Legislature passed, and the <br />Governor signed, Minnesota Session Laws, 2023, Regular Session, Chapter 64, Article 8, <br />Section 10, which amends Minnesota Session Laws, 2021, First Special Session, Chapter 14, <br />Article 9, Section 10, as follows: <br />Sec. 10. CITY OF RAMSEY; TAX INCREMENT FINANCING <br />DISTRICT NO. 14; FIVE-YEAR RULE <br />EXTENSION. <br />(a) The requirement of Minnesota Statutes, section <br />469.1763, subdivision 3, that activities must be undertaken within a <br />five-year period from the date of certification of a tax increment <br />financing district, is extended by a two-year five-year period to <br />November 28, 2023 2026, for Tax Increment Financing District No. <br />14 administered by the city of Ramsey. <br />(b) The requirements of Minnesota Statutes, section <br />469.1763, subdivision 4, relating to the use of increment after the <br />expiration of the five-year period under Minnesota Statutes, section <br />469.1763, subdivision 3, is extended to the 13th 16th year for Tax <br />Increment Financing District No. 14. <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. This section is effective the day after <br />the governing body of the city of Ramsey and its chief clerical <br />officer comply with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, <br />subdivisions 2 and 3. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such legislation requires local approval in accordance with Minnesota <br />Statute §645.021; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires the law to become effective. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Minnesota Session Laws, 2023, Regular Session, Chapter 64, Article 8, Section 10, is <br />hereby approved. <br /> <br />
