CASE ~1: <br /> <br />KEqUEST FOR VARIANCE TO CONSTRUCT A SIGN LARGER THAN PERHITTED <br />BY SECTION 170.05 OF THE CIT~ CODE, CASE OF SCENIC SIGN CORP. <br />By: Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Background: <br />The Scenic Sign Corporation is requesting a variance to construct a sign <br />larger than permitted by Section 170.05 of the City Code at 6106 ~wy 10 <br />Scenic Sign is proposing to construct a sign that is approximately 145 <br />square feet in size. Section 170.05 of the City Code permits one free- <br />standing for each building having street frontage and also limits the total <br />area of e free standing sign to a maximum of 100 square feet. Currently, <br />there are two free-standing signs on the site which were erected prior to <br />the adoption of Section 170.05.
