<br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 161 AVENUE
<br />RECONSTRUCTION, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #23-01
<br />
<br />st
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct 161 Avenue between Armstrong
<br />Boulevard and Variolite Street; and
<br />
<br />th
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #22-089, adopted April 12,
<br />2022, the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolten & Menk, Inc., for
<br />Topographic Survey of the project area; and
<br />

<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #22-200, adopted August 23,
<br />2022, City staff has received and reviewed the Topographic Survey, and has prepared plans and
<br />specifications for the purpose of advertising for bids for same improvement; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #23-051, adopted March 14,
<br />2023, the City Council approved plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and
<br />authorized advertisement for bids for same improvements; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #23-081, adopted April 25,
<br />2023, the bid of Northern Lines Contracting, Inc., of Hanover, Minnesota, in the amount of
<br />$1,244,237.29, for the construction of said improvements was accepted; the Mayor and City
<br />Administrator were authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the
<br />construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey, and the City
<br />Administrator was hereby authorized to execute the proposal from Bolton & Menk, Inc. to provide
<br />construction staking services and As-built Survey for said improvement in a total not-to-exceed
<br />amount of $29,770.00 for the project; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, as of June 27, 2023 $0.00 has been paid to date; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Senior Engineer has inspected the completed work and recommends
<br />partial payment No. 1 to Northern Lines Contracting, Inc. of Hanover, Minnesota for improvement
<br />st
<br />project #23-01, 161 Avenue Reconstruction, in the amount of $38,022.04.
<br />
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA:
<br />
<br />1) The City Council hereby authorizes partial payment No. 1 to Northern Lines Contracting,
<br />st
<br />Inc., of Hanover, Minnesota for Improvement Project #23-01, 161 Avenue Reconstruction
<br />in the amount of $38,022.04.
<br />
<br />2) The City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the release
<br />form for this payment.
