Anne Norris, C~nity Develolmnent Director CASE $1: Background: Breezy Outdoor, Inc. is requesting a conditional use permit to construct an advertising sign at 7009 Highway ~.10 N.W. This property is owned by Mr. Larry Rudesill and is the site of his used auto business. The sign is proposed to have two faces, each approximately 300 square feet in area. Section 170.054 of the City Code states that conditional use permits are required for all advertising signs and requires that advertising signs are permitted only on parcels where the subject activity is located or within 2,500 feet of the parcel on which the subject activity is located. Enclosed are the following items for your information: a) Application b) Site location map c) Section 170.054 of the City Code d) Proposed findings of fact e) Proposed conditional use permit f) Letter from Breezy Outdoor, Inc. dated February 11, 1988 Oose rvations: The Planning and Zoning Co~ission conducted a public hearing on this request on February 2, 1988 and tabled action pending information on the subject to be advertised on the proposed sign. Subsequent to this, Breezy Outdoor, Inc. stated that they couldn't provide this information, as sign content changes periodically and they requested that their ,request be forwarded directly to the City Council.
