Coincidentally, the City of Coon Rapids is currently <br />undergoing a similar evaluation of the appropriate number of off-sale liquor <br />licenses. In that cce~nunity a report was prepared by a research consultant <br />which may also be of interest tom,mb ers of the Rmmsey City Council. <br /> <br />At the last Council meeting when this ordinance was introduced, some discussion <br />was held regarding the possibility of establishing an effective date sometime <br />into the future. This is possible; however, Section 2 of the proposed <br />ordinance should be amended to reflect the wishes of the City Council and the <br />amended version of this ordinance reintroduced and acted on at a later Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Enclosed for your information are the prol~osed ordinance and the City of Coon <br />Rapids's report. <br /> <br />l~mc~m,mndation: <br /> <br />Council action will be to consider the adoption of the ordinance amending <br />Chapter 130.09 of the City Code which is known as the "Intoxicating Liquors <br />Off-sale, Private Club, and On-sale Wine Licenses" chapter. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />~ngineer <br />Community Develounent Director <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
