9.12.04 Prohibited Signs <br /> <br />"A" Frame or Sandwich Board Sig'ns. "A" Frame or Sandwich <br /> <br /> are <br /> <br /> Subd. 1. <br />Board signs are prohibited. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Advertising Devices Signs. Advertising Device signs <br />prohibited except as provided for in Section 9.21.05 (Ternporary signs). <br /> Subd. 3. Whirling Devices, Searchlights, Streamers, Balloons and Other <br />Gas Filled Figures. Whirling de'Aces, searchlights, streamers, balloons, and other gas filled <br />figures, are prohibited except as a temporary sign as provided for in Section 9.12.05 (Temporary <br />Signs). Subd. 4. Flashing Signs, Devices or Lights. Flashing signs, devices, or <br />lights are not permitted in any district except as provided for.in 9.12.03, Subd. 7 (General <br />Provisions - Illumination). <br /> Subd. 5. Portable Sig"ns. Portable signs are prohibited excePt as temporary <br />signs as provided for in Section 9.12.05 (Temporary Signs). <br /> <br /> Subd. 6.. Projecting Signs. No projecting sign shall be permitted in any <br />district <br /> Subd. 7. Roof Signs. Roof signs are prohibited in any zoning district. <br /> <br /> Subd. 8. Signs on Parked Vehicles. Signs painted or mounted on or <br />at(ached to vehicleS, trailers or' equip.ment where the apparent primary purpose of the vehicle or <br />equ~inent is to display said sign are prohibited.. However, this is not in any way intended to <br />prohibit signs placed on or affixed to vehicles' and trailers, such as lettering on motor vehicles, <br />where the sign is incidental to the primary use of the ~ehicle, trailer anclJor any other type of <br />mobile equipment. <br /> <br /> Subd. 9. signs on 'lZrees and Utility Poles. Signs which are attached or <br />otherwise affixed to trees or other vegetation or utility poies are'prohibited. <br /> <br /> Subd. 10. Signs Painted on Wails. Signs painted on an exterior wall, fascia; <br />parapet or a chimney of a building or on a fence are prohibited. <br /> <br /> Subd. 11. Signs Which Imitate Traffic Control Devices. Signs which <br />imitate, interfere with,, obstrdct the view of, or can be confused with any authorized traffic <br />control sign, signal, or other device are prohibited. <br /> <br /> Subd. 12. Billboards. No billboards shall be permitted in any zoning district <br /> of the City. <br /> <br />. :.9.12.05 Temporary. Si~.
