A permit for a sign to be located within fifty (50) feet of any street or <br />highway fegnlato~ or warn/n§ si~,.~or ~y.;tr~:fic sign or sig~, al.: or of any <br />crossroad or crosswalk, will not be ~ssuea unless: <br /> <br />The sign will not interfere with the ability of drivers and pedestrians to <br />see any street or highway sign' or any traffic sign or signal, or any <br />crossroad or crosswalk; and <br /> <br /> 2. The sign will not distract dr/vers nor offer any confusion to any street <br /> or highway, sign, or any traffic sign or signal. <br /> <br /> c. A sign shall not be located go as to extend over any lot line or within fifteen <br /> (15) feet of any point ofyehicular access from a pm-col to a public roadway. <br /> Subd. 6. Illumination. Any site lighting or illuminated sign located on the <br />ground, or on a buildiflg or in a window-which changes in either color or intensity of light shall <br />ho~ be permitted, except such a sigrl g/ring public service information such as time, date, <br />temperature, ?veather or similar information shall be permitted. The Zoning Administrator in <br />granting pernfits for illuminated signs shall specify the hours during which the same may be kept <br />lighted in order to prevent the creation of a nuisance. There shall be no use of revolving <br />beacons, zip flashers or similar deyices which cause any of the sources of light to change in <br />intensity, unless as permitted above. <br /> Subd. 7. Institutional and Recreational Identification Sign. One wall <br />and/or ground sign shall be permitted to identify the civ/c, philanthropic, educational, public or <br />reliC'gus Organization or reCreational Use occupying the parcel. There shall not be more than one <br />(1) ground sign for.each parcel. The gross surface area of a ground si~m~ shall not exceed one <br />hundred (I00) square feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface arm of <br />two hundred (200) square feet. Such facilities ha'Ang more than one point of entrance or street <br />frontage may erect secondary identification signs not to exceed fifty. (50). square feet for each <br />exposed face at the additignal entrance points or street frontages. <br /> Subd. 8. ' Institutlonal Attraction Boards. There shall not be more than <br /> 6ne inst/tutional attraction board for each principal building and it may be either wall or ground <br /> type Or constructed as a part of the Institutional Identification Sign. The gross surface area of afl <br /> attraction board shall not exceed fifty (50) square feet for each exposed face nor exceed an <br /> aggregate gross surface area of one hundred (I00) square feet. An attraction board shall not be <br /> located so as to extend over any lot line or within fifteen (15) feet of any point of vehicular <br /> access from any parcel to a public roadway. Attraction boards shall not exceed fifteen (15) feet <br /> in height as measured from the base of the sign or building to which the sign is to be affixed or <br /> the grade of the nearest adjacent roadway, whichever is higher. <br /> Subd. 9. Pennants.
