In accordance with Ramsey City Code <br />Section 9:03~06 (Site Plan Review), Subdivision .1 (Required Site Plan/Building-Design <br />Information, item 'c' (Signs), the developer shall submit a sign plan for approval, drawn to scale <br />with elevations, at the time application is made' for site plan approval. The sign plan shall <br />include but not be limited to the following information: number of signs, type of signs, sign <br />sizes, type of construction materials, sign messages, and proposed sign locations'. <br /> <br />9.12.09 E-1 and E~2 Employment Type Districts <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1.' Wail, Canopy' or Marquee Sign. Total sign area may not exceed <br />fifteen (15) percent of the front building ~agade. Sign height shall not exceed'the tope of the <br />parapet wall'or, if no parapet wail, sign height shall not exceed the height of the eaves. A wall, <br />canopy or marquee sin mfiy be located on the outermost wall of any principal buildiqg but shall <br />not project more than sixteen (16)- inches from the wall to which the sign is to be affixed. Where. <br />· a principal building is' devoted to two (2) or more permitted uses, the operator of each such use <br />may install a wall sign upon his/her proportionate share of the building wall to which the sign is <br />to be affixed. The max/mum gross sm-face area of each such wall sign shall be d~termined by <br />calculating the proportionate share of the area of the building wall, including doors and windows <br />to which the sign is to be affixed and applying such proportion to the total permitted wall .sign <br />aggregate gross surface area for the building. The gross surface area of a wall sign may be <br />increased by ten percent (1 ,0%) if such wall sign: <br /> <br />Consists only of individual, outlined ·alphabetic, numeric, and/or symbolic <br />characters without background except provided by the' building surface to <br />which the sign is to be affixed; and <br /> <br />Any illumination, if any, i~ achieved through shielded illumination, Sh/elded. <br />silhouette lighting, or shielded spot lighting but not any lighting where the <br />light source is visible or exposed on the face or sides of the characters. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2, Ground Signs. There shall Sot be more than one (1) ground sign <br />for each parcel. The gros~ surface area of a ground sign shall not exceed one hundred (100) <br />~quare feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface area of two hundred <br />(200) square feet. <br /> <br />Subd. 3. Directional Signs <br /> <br />Directional or instructional signs are permitted in accordance with §9.12.03 <br />subd. 9. <br /> <br />.Parking lot directional signs designating.park/rig area entrances and .exils are <br />limited to one (1) sign for each entrance and/or exit and shall not exceed <br />four (4) square feet for each exposed face.
