Councilmember Elvig inquired about the type of business Riverside Manufacturing is. <br />Economic Development C0ordinator Sullivan replied Riverside' Manufacturing is a precision <br />machine shop that makes a variety of components. <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to authgrize a <br />business subsidy agreement with Riverside Manufacturing, Inc. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Garnec, Councilmembers Strommen, Olson, Cook, Elvig, <br />Jeffrey, and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br /> Case #2: Public Hearing: Request for Vacation of Easement in the Proposed Plat of <br /> Brookfield First Addition; Case of Oakwood Land Development <br /> Mayor Garnet closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:13 p.m. in order to <br /> conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />May~'Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:13 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon explained as part of tonight's agenda, the Council <br />will be reviewing the proposed f'mal plat of Brookfield Second Addition. The plat of Brookfield <br />includes the former Lot 1, Block 3 of Now and Then Estates, which included the standard <br />drainage and utility easements. Now that this lot is being replatted as a part of Brookfield <br />Addition, these easements need to be vacated. New drainage and utility easements will be <br />dedicated for the newly created lots in this portion of the Brookfield plat. Mr. Tmdgeon advised <br />staff recommends introduction of the ordinance to vacate the drainage and utility easements <br />within Lot 1, Block 3, Now and Then Estates. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br />Gary Smith, 16821 Garnet Street NW, stated his property is right next to this property where the <br />easement will be removed. He inquired how tiffs easement vacation will affect his property.
