EDAM Summer Conference <br /> <br />Start Date End Date <br />06/21/2006 06/23/2006 <br /> <br />Location <br />RuttgeCs Bay Lake Lodge <br />Deerwood, MN 56444 <br /> <br />If you'd like to pay by check, download the p_d_f of the registration brochure and mail it to EDAM, 1000 <br />Westgate Dr., Ste. 252, St. Paul, MN 55114-1067. <br /> <br />EDAM 2006 Summer Conference <br /> <br />On behalf of the Economic Development Association of Minnesota Board of Directors and the Education Committee, I invite <br />you to attend the upcoming EDAM Summer Conference scheduled for June 21 through 23 at Ruttge¢s at Bay Lake. <br /> <br />The conference will provide economic development professionals an opportunity to network, learn and share insights in the <br />current issues and concerns that we are facing when working on development and redevelopment in our state. <br /> <br />The conference will kick off Wednesday evening with our E.D. Awards, where we will recognize projects and individuals that <br />have made an impact on our communities through their efforts in development and redevelopment activities. <br /> <br />On Thursday the conference focuses on ethical behavior for economic developers and how to bring a high standard back to <br />the boards and community organizations that you serve. Thursday will also include a business tour of Merit Enterprises, a <br />precis[on eIectroplating facility, which has provided many great economic benefits to the area. <br /> <br />On Friday we will hear from the state demographer on the future of our state and the expected changes. The conference will <br />end with a siteselector/broker panel addressing what CEOs view as key concerns when siting a facility. <br /> <br />I encourage you to attend what is always one of the highlights of our educational programming each year. I am sure all of our <br />EDAM members and guests will find something of value to take away from the conference.
