stor~s. Siren speakers shall include adjustable mounting brackets for varying size poles; and easily removable for speaker mounting on flat surfaces of roofs or buildings. The siren speaker shall be prewired with a cable suitable for outdoor installations %:ith or without conduit, capable of Operating siren or any future options. Prior to final acceptance, each unit supplied shall include equipment description, specifications, physical and electrical installation, instructions and warranty. Service instructions shall comply with best commercial practices; function and purpose of equipment and special '~ performance characteristics and power features; dimension, we!~ht, requlr~ments. Manuals shall describe checkout procedures; theory of operation explaining basic workings of circuits used; maintenance procedures, sch~natics with printed circuit board layouts; component diagr~s and parts lists; wiring diagrams a~ a complete source of info~qnation in order to easily follow, maintain and order replacement parts. Bidder must supply three (3) sets of the aforementioned manuals, diagrams and parts lists. Bidder must warranty the warning siren equipment from date of delivery for a period of not less than two (2 years for any defects in electrical or mechanical components. All items furnished must be new, ~irsthand, completely assembled and installed vithin ninety (90) days of the acceptance of the bid by the City of P~?~sey City Council. Bidders must be able to supply service and parts on eight (8) hour notice, five (5) days a week at regular rates and have service available on weekends and holidays at prevailing overtime rates on call from the Civil Defense Director. City m~st be furnished with a 24 hour telephone number where a service technician can be contacted. All bidders must provide a list of service or aniza~ions and lo~-ations as part of a bid. If for any reason a siren remains tm. repaired (except through the fault of the City), during the warranty of ths siren, for more than 72 hours, the City reserves the right to request a new siren be installed within 48 hours. Should the contractor fail or neglect to make such repairs or replacement within five (5) days from the date of the service of such notice, tlnen the City shall have the right to cause such repairs or replacement to be made in such a manner as the City may de~.: best and the whole cost thereof shall be paid at the ezpense of the contractor and his sureties. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish the City with a performance bond in the form required by law, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount~ based.on.the lu~ap.sum bid or ~_c~s, as '' ' d determLneo by the City. the anuic~pate qualities and unit .~ = This bond shall guarantee the proper prosecution and completion of the work by the successful bidder; and shall further guarantee the prompt payment by the successful[ bidder of all perscns or firms furnishing labor, tools, materials and supplies for the work.
