CASE ~14: <br />10 Minutes <br /> <br />BUDGET ~ LEVY LIMIT CONSIDERATIONS <br />By: Noel Graczyk, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br />In accordance with City Charter and other laws, the City Council must adopt a <br />resolution setting the schedule for budget preparation and various hearings. <br />The resolution for your adoption will be available at the meeting. <br />The prol~osed requir~ents, by the State, in the budget process for notification <br />of levy increases is in the bill before the Governor, but implementation is <br />delayed until Budget 1990. Also in the bill is a $121,092 increase in local <br />government aid for Ramsey. This will increase bSA for 1989 to $421,570 which <br />is a 40.3% increase.
