Graczyk, Finance Officer <br /> <br />January 20, 1988 <br /> <br />Computer Hardware and Software Agreements <br /> <br />As of December 31, 1987 the agreement for software updates and the agreement <br />for software support with AmeriData expired. As was indicted to Council at the <br />August 11, 1987 meeting, AmeriData would no longer support their NMS Financial <br />software after December 31, 1988. Ameridata has indicated by letter, a copy is <br />enclosed, that their NMS product will be in a "frozen state." This means <br />program changes required to comply with Federal and State laws would have to be <br />done by the City. These changes would of been covered by the update agreement, <br />but AmeriData will no longer provide this service. Ameridata will continue to <br />provide software support for the NMS software. A copy of the software support <br />agreement is enclosed. <br /> <br />In November, 1987 the City installed a disk drive and tape drive on the <br />computer system inorder to provide storage and backup capacity. Both of these <br />pieces need to be added to the Group Maintenance Agreement with Computoservice <br />for service coverage with Texas Instruments. A copy of the hardware agreement <br />is enclosed. <br /> <br />The following is a summary of the monthly cost: <br /> <br />Software Support: <br /> General Ledger~ Revenues, <br /> Payroll <br /> Accounts Payable <br /> <br />Hardware Maintenance Support: <br /> ~900 Disk Drive <br /> Tape drive <br /> <br />and Expenditures <br /> <br />$ 25.00 <br /> 25.00 <br /> 25.00 <br /> <br />175.00 <br /> 80.00 <br /> <br />Council should authorise the Mayor to sign the Software support and hardware <br />manitenance agreements. <br /> <br /> <br />
