10 Minutes <br /> <br />CASE #?: <br /> <br />RECEIVE RECOMMENDATION FROM PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO FILL THE POSITIONS OF <br />ACCOUNTING CLERK AND RECEPTIONIST <br /> By: Dave Eartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Advertisements for the positions of Accounting Clerk and Receptionist appeared <br />in the Minneapolis Star Tribune and local newspapers over the Christmas <br />holidays. Following these advertisements we received 45 applications for the <br />Accounting Clerk position and 18 applications for the Receptionist position. <br />Telephone interviews and several personal interviews were used to screen <br />applicants resulting in the finalists being interviewed a minimum of three <br />times by different Staff persons and once by the Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />The finalist for the Accounting Clerk position is Jennifer Swendsen. It is <br />recommended by the Personnel Committee and myself that the position of <br />Accounting Clerk be offered to Ms. Swendsen with a starting salary of $7.10 per <br />hour. <br /> <br />The finalist for the Receptionist position is Kathleen Johnson.
