Bill Weiss - 16053 Nowthen Blvd. N.W. - Referred to the City's proposed multi-trail system which would pass through this area; presented a petition fr(xa area residents opposed to a trail system passing through this area. Chairman Zimmerman stated that it would be more appropriate to submit the petition to the Park and Recreation C~.~ssion. Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Chairman Zimmerman to reco~nd approval of Mr. Jon Rambosek's request for preliminary plat approval of Rambosek Red Oak Estates as presented to the Planning and Zoning Co~ssion on April 5, 1988. Further Discussion: Commissioner Hendriksen inquired if the Commission would get another opportunity to review this plat as there are still questions regarding park dedication and the buildability of certain lots. Chairman Zir~nermanstated that the Commission does not normally review plats after preliminary approval; 'the developer has the right to add fill to make the lots buildable; if that is not economically feasible for the developer tod o, the lots remain unbuild~hle. M~. Norris stated that the Park C~u,~ission will review and make a recommendation prior to the plat being placed on a City Council agenda; it is proposed to take a maximum of 75 feet along the southern boundary to be used in the proposed trail system. Lee Olson inquired if Mr. Rambosekcanbuild the roads anywhere he chooses once the plat is approved. Commissioner LaDue stated that the roads willbeestablished according to what is approved intheplat. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Terry, Hendriksen and LaDue. Holm and H~e!l. Chairman Zimmerman, Voting No: None. Motion by Co~nissioner LaDue and seconded by Chairman Zimmerman to recoam~nd approval of Mr. David Schulte's request for preliminary plat approval of Oakwood Hills with tine following: Variance to lot width being granted for Lots 1, 8, 9 and !0 of Block i; Lot 2 cf Block 2; and Lots ~ ~-nd 5 of Block 3. __ ~ ~ reJuired Lots ~, 2 and g of Block 3; 2.
