DEPARTMENT

DATE
TO

FROM :

of Natural Resources
Division of Waters

STATE OF MINNESOTA
Office Memorandum

February 1, 1988

City of Ramsey ~ild and Scenic River File

John Linc Stine, Area Hydrologist

FEB -

pHONE:
SUBJECT :

296-7523
UR~NAMED PARCEL PROPOSED PLAT NORTH SIDE TROTT BROOK AT RUM RIVER
N½ S½ SW~ SECTION 1, TOWNSHIP 32 NORTH, RANGE 25 WEST, CITY
RAMSEY

OF

On January 25, 1988 I made a field inspection %%th an associate of
Mr. Jerry Noller (I did not obtain his associate's name). We walked
the property to identify any possible building sites in response to
my letter to the City of Ramsey staff regarding the proposal.
Upon walking the site it was clear that there are several potential
building sites, however, there are a number of concerns to be
addressed because the property is extremely hilly with rolling
topography. There are a number of iow depressions which drain by
small ravine to Trot: Brook. Ail of these features of the land may
restrict the development possibilities. Therefore, ! reiterated my
statement that a detailed survey should be made of the property and
to identify these constraints. ! also commented on the possibility
for soil restrictions and the difficulty of obtaining adequate
access to the parcel. Therefore, my comments on the proposed
subdivision remain relatively unchanged.

cc:

/
Anne Norris, City of Ramsey
Bill Zachmann, St. Paul Waters

L72/dv
