PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF EAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The P~msey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, July 19, <br />1988 at the Eamsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Councilmember Steve DeLuca <br /> Councilmember A1 Pearson <br /> Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Rartley <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br /> <br />CALL TO 0RD~ <br />Councilmember DeLuca called the special City Council meeting <br />7:35 p.m. and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />to order at <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGEND,$ <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve the.agenda as submitted. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Sorteberg, DeLuca and Pearson. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Reimann and Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />CO NCIL BUSINESS <br />C~se $1: Rsview Lower Rum River ManaEement Or~anizat{on: <br />Mr. Raatikka recalled that in t985, the City entered into a joint powers <br />agreement with the cities of Andover, Anoka and Coon Rapids to form the <br />Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization. Over the past 3 years, <br />that organization has been preparing a plan and at this point is submitting <br />it to Ramsey fOr review and comment. The purpose of the plan is to provide <br />· for conservation of water and natural resources, prevention and alleviation <br />of flood damage and regulation of creeks, lakes and Water courses for <br />domestic, recreational and public use acrOSS municipal boundaries. <br /> Mr. Raatikka reviewed the plan with Council. <br /> <br />City Council/July 19, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
