City Council special meeting minutes dated May 11, 1988. <br /> <br /> ~ase ~l: R_~.~iew Provosed Snowmobile Ord~n~nce~ <br /> Ms. Norris provided the Commission with copies of the most recent version <br /> of the draft snowm~,ile ordinance based on comments from the last Park and <br /> Recreation Commission discussion. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Lokker and seconded by Commissioner Hetland to table <br /> action on the proposed snowmobile ordinance in order to allow sufficient <br /> time to review the draft. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Lichter, Commissioners Hetland, <br /> Prall and Lokker. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Rustad, <br /> Shumway and Johnson. <br /> <br /> Refer to page 3 for further discussion. <br /> Case ~2:. R~,~ow Pro~ p 0 G V v E ~ 2 A ~ F <br /> Park Dedication Re~oirementsl <br /> Mr. Otto noted that the Commission previously tabled this because of the <br /> lack of topographical information, which has still not been submitted. Mr. <br /> Otto stated that based on the current park dedication ordinance, staff <br /> recommends requiring the maximum amount of land. Mr. Otto noted that if <br /> the proposed park dedication ordinance was in effect, the Connnission could <br /> require only the amount of land needed and the balance of park dedication <br /> in cash. <br /> Mr. Gerald Bauer stated that he would prefer to pay a cash fee for park <br /> dedication and explained that there is a park nearby to the northeast. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Lokker and seconded by Commissioner Prall to <br /> recommend that the City require cash to satisfy the park dedication <br /> requirements for Green Valley Estates 2nd Addition. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Lichter, Commissioners Hetland, <br /> Lokker and Prall. Voting ~o: None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway, <br /> Johnson and Rustad. <br /> The Commission recessed at 7:26 p.m. in order to conduct the special joint <br /> Park and Recreation Commission/June 9, 1988 <br /> <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
