Further Discussion: Mayor Reimann inquired if residents of Ramsey T~rrace <br />and Flintwood Hills will be notified of the public hearing. Mr. Raatikka <br />replied that the residents on either side of the sewer alignment through <br />those subdivisions would be notified; the project costs includes <br />reconstruction of their road would be and they will not be assessed. Mr. <br />Rartley noted that the residents of Ramsey Terrace and Flintwood Hills will <br />not benefit from the project and are not proposed to be assessed; if at <br />some future time they should want utilities in those areas, they would have <br />to construct taps into the system and pay for the cost of doing so. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Arena In Traprock Commons Park: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris recalled that the Park and Recreation Commission recommended <br />naming the Traprock Commons riding arena after Ernie Schleper. Per Council <br />direction, staff researched and cannot find any reference to a policy which <br />prohibits naming parks after individuals. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />approve renaming the riding arena in Traprock Commons Park after Mr. Ernie <br />Schleper. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />Case ~12: Recommendation Fr~ E¢o~o~i¢ Development Commission Re~ardin~ <br /> Prpposad Mississippi Fiver Crossin~ Corridor: <br /> <br />Economic Development Commission Chairman Don Greenberg stated that based on <br />Dayton's proposal for an extension of #610 through Dayton up to the <br />Mississippi River and a river crossing and the fact that the Hwy. 410 Study <br />recommends an overpass at the intersection of Cty. Rd. #56 and Hwy. 410, <br />the following recommendation is being presented to City Council for concept <br />approval: Locate the Mississippi River bridge crossing west of Foster <br />Island to align in Ramsey between County Roads 456 and 483; realign the <br />intersection of County Road 483 and Hwy. 410 further east and extend County <br />Road 483 to intersect with County Roads ~5, ~24 and 447 through Burns. <br /> <br />County Commissioner Haas Steffen was present and noted that per Ramsey's <br /> City Council/June 14, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 9 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
