Weekly UPDATE Administrator's Report July 14, 2023 Council Update We're Hiring! The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: • Police Officer (2 openings) The primary objective of this position is to perform responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services; as well as other related duties as required. This is a full-time LELS-Patrol union position. The 2023 hiring wage is $32.460 per hour. The application deadline is open until filled, apply immediately if interested. • Community Service Officers (2 openings) The primary objective of this position is to perform a variety of non -sworn law enforcement support duties in the Ramsey Police Department office. This position provides cost-effective public safety and superior customer service while performing regularly scheduled community service work. It also assists with high priority unanticipated calls for service and with public protection and crime prevention. Must be a currently enrolled in a law enforcement program as a student and able to provide evidence of law enforcement school enrollment. This is a part-time AFSCME union position working up to 25 hours per week. The 2023 hiring wage is $22.380 per hour The application deadline is 11:59 pm on Sunday, August 6, 2023. • Seasonal Maintenance Worker The primary objective of this position is to provide general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings, and related facilities and equipment through the spring, summer and possibly fall months. This also includes mowing and trimming; pruning and planting trees or working on landscape projects; maintaining athletic fields; picking up trash; streets and utilities maintenance. These are temporary non -union positions working up to forty (40) hours per week Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Must be at least 17 years of age or older on first day of employment and have a valid Minnesota driver's license. The 2023 hiring wage is $15.00 per hour. City of #1,< RAMSEY Water Treatment Plant Ground Breaking Ceremony It is with excitement that the City of Ramsey invites you to the Water Treatment Plant Groundbreaking Ceremony. This project has been planned for many years, and efforts are underway to construct the new facility. Please join us on Tuesday, July 18, at 4:00 pm to recognize what has gone into this project and celebrate the start of construction. The ceremony will be held on -site at 6900 143rd Avenue NW, with parking available at the Public Works Facility, 14199 Jaspar Street NW, directly adjacent to the site. Additional parking may be accommodated along Jaspar Street NW as well. Light refreshments will be served. All are invited to attend.
