Weekly UPDATE <br />Administrator's Report July 14, 2023 <br />Council Update <br />We're Hiring! <br />The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: <br />• Police Officer (2 openings) <br />The primary objective of this position is to perform responsible police <br />work involving the protection and safety of the community through <br />prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, <br />investigating crime, regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing <br />emergency services; as well as other related duties as required. This <br />is a full-time LELS-Patrol union position. The 2023 hiring wage is <br />$32.460 per hour. The application deadline is open until filled, <br />apply immediately if interested. <br />• Community Service Officers (2 openings) <br />The primary objective of this position is to perform a variety of <br />non -sworn law enforcement support duties in the Ramsey Police <br />Department office. This position provides cost-effective public <br />safety and superior customer service while performing regularly <br />scheduled community service work. It also assists with high priority <br />unanticipated calls for service and with public protection and crime <br />prevention. Must be a currently enrolled in a law enforcement program <br />as a student and able to provide evidence of law enforcement school <br />enrollment. This is a part-time AFSCME union position working up <br />to 25 hours per week. The 2023 hiring wage is $22.380 per hour The <br />application deadline is 11:59 pm on Sunday, August 6, 2023. <br />• Seasonal Maintenance Worker <br />The primary objective of this position is to provide general <br />maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings, and related <br />facilities and equipment through the spring, summer and possibly <br />fall months. This also includes mowing and trimming; pruning and <br />planting trees or working on landscape projects; maintaining athletic <br />fields; picking up trash; streets and utilities maintenance. These are <br />temporary non -union positions working up to forty (40) hours per <br />week Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Must be at <br />least 17 years of age or older on first day of employment and have <br />a valid Minnesota driver's license. The 2023 hiring wage is $15.00 <br />per hour. This project has <br />been planned for many years, and efforts are <br />underway to construct the new facility. Please join <br />us on Tuesday, July 18, at 4:00 pm to recognize <br />what has gone into this project and celebrate the <br />start of construction. The ceremony will be held <br />on -site at 6900 143rd Avenue NW, with parking <br />available at the Public Works Facility, 14199 <br />Jaspar Street NW, directly adjacent to the site. <br />Additional parking may be accommodated along <br />Jaspar Street NW as well. Light refreshments will <br />be served. All are invited to attend.
