)11 Anoka County <br />ADMINISTRATION <br />Communications <br />July 18, 2023 <br />Contact: Erik Thorson, Communications Director, 763-324-4612, or e-mail: <br />Erik.Thorson@co.anoka.mn.us <br />FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br />ACCAP Executive Director to Receive National Award <br />Patrick McFarland, the longtime executive director of the Anoka County Community <br />Action Program, was recently selected by the National Community Action Partnership (NCAP) to <br />receive the national Lyndon Baines Johnson Leadership Award. <br />The award will be presented to McFarland at the NCAP Annual Convention Aug. 23-25 in <br />Atlanta. <br />McFarland has served ACCAP for more than 50 years and has been an instrumental leader <br />in supporting and advancing programs that greatly benefit the people of Anoka County. Whenever <br />Anoka County has needed McFarland's support, he has always been there to offer his expertise, <br />steadfast guidance, and hands-on collaboration.
