Information Title Adopt Resolution #23-179 Approving Construction Staking Services Proposal for Whispering Pines Estates Plat 3 Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #23-10 Purpose/Background: Purpose: The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution #23-179 approving construction staking services proposal for Whispering Pines Estates Plat 3 Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #23-10. Background: On July 25, 2023, City Council adopted Resolution #23-170, awarding a construction contract to Landall Services LLC for the Whispering Pines Estates Plat 3 Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #23-10. Construction staking is essential to the construction of said improvements, and the City Staff do not have the capacity to perform construction staking in-house. Bolton & Menk submitted a proposal for construction staking of the proposed improvements for a total not -to -exceed amount of $19,053.00. City Staff proposes to administer and inspect construction. Plans and specifications were prepared in-house as part of Staffs normal duties. Notification: Notifications are not required as part of this case. Funding Source: On July 25, 2023, City Council adopted Resolution #23-170 awarding a construction contract to Landall Services LLC for the Whispering Pines Estates Plat 3 Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #23-10 for the bid amount of $533,248.00. Adding indirect costs in the amount of 23-percent, the total project costs are $655,895.04. Bolton & Menk submitted a proposal for construction staking of the proposed improvements for a total not -to -exceed amount of $19,053.00. The construction staking is included in the indirect project costs, and proposed to be paid with Pavement Management Funds. Recommendation: Staff recommends adopting Resolution #23-179 approving construction staking services proposal for Whispering Pines Estates Plat 3 Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #23-10. Action: Motion to adopt Resolution #23-179 approving construction staking services proposal for Whispering Pines Estates Plat 3 Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #23-10.
