Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #23-187 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO CORRECT ASPHALT MATERIALS, LLC., OF SOUTH ROXANA, ILLINOIS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #23-09; 2023 PAVEMENT REJUVENATION IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey budgeted $200,000 for crack seal and pavement rejuvenation improvements in 2023 and is estimated to use the entire $200,000 budgeted funds; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to use Municipal State Aid maintenance funds to apply pavement rejuvenation to Municipal State Aid streets, for the purpose of maintaining these streets as cost-effective as possible; and WHEREAS, Engineering Staff received a proposal from Corrective Asphalt Materials (CAM) in the amount of $98,710.60 to apply Reclamite to 87,850 square yards of bituminous pavement on numerous street segments within the City, and their proposal shall be and hereby is accepted. WHEREAS, as of August 22, 2023 $0.00 has been paid to date; and WHEREAS, the Senior Engineer has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment No. 1 to Corrective Asphalt Materials, LLC, of South Roxana Illinois for improvement project #23-06, 2023 Pavement Rejuvenation Improvements, in the amount of $103,783.63. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The City Council hereby authorizes partial payment No. 1 to Corrective Asphalt Materials, LLC, of South Roxana Illinois for Improvement Project #23-06, 2023 Pavement Rejuvenation Improvements in the amount of $103,783.63. 2) The City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3 4 ) ) The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of August 22, 2023. That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution.
