CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 08/22/2023 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Not Applicable <br />Information <br />Title <br />Approve HIDTA Fiscal Agent Agreement <br />5. 5. <br />Purpose/Background: <br />In 2017, the Ramsey Police Department became a member of the Anoka Hennepin Narcotic and Violent Crimes <br />Task Force (AHNVCT). During our time with the AHNVCT, we have been operating under the parameters of the <br />attached fiscal agreement. Since joining the North Central High -Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), we are <br />required to have a signed joint powers agreement. This agreement is to cover how investigators are funded to pay <br />overtime and how HIDTA reimburses those expenses. The agreement is attached for review. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends approval of the HIDTA Fiscal Agent Agreement. <br />Action: <br />Approval of the agreement will require signatures from Mayor Mark E.
