Weekly UPDATE <br />Administrator's Report August 18, 2023 <br />Council Update <br />Congratulations B&F Fastener Supply <br />2023 Ramsey Business of the Year <br />B&F Fastener Supply is a family -owned business established <br />in 1988. They have approximately 60 employees in their <br />70,000-square-foot headquarters located at 7100 Sunwood <br />Drive NW. A total of 300 are employed throughout all their <br />Midwest locations. B&F Fastener prides itself on its customer - <br />first and community focus. Employees are encouraged to <br />organize or take part in many local volunteer opportunities. <br />The company is celebrating its 35 anniversary this year. <br />Each year, Ramsey's Economic Development Authority <br />selects a local business to receive this award based on its <br />exemplary standing in various categories. The Business of the <br />Year award is presented at the Business Appreciation Event <br />each year in August. The City of Ramsey is proud to have <br />B&F Fastener Supply as part of our business community and <br />congratulate them on this achievement. <br />Single -Lane Closures on Highway 10 <br />Now through September 1 <br />Construction began on July 24, on the temporary widening <br />project of U.S. Highway 10/169. Single -lane closures will <br />affect traffic in the cities of Ramsey and Anoka. Police Officer (2 openings) <br />The primary objective of this position is to perform <br />responsible police work involving the protection and <br />safety of the community through prevention and <br />control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, <br />investigating crime, regulating traffic, enforcing laws and <br />providing emergency services; as well as other related <br />duties as required. This is a full-time LELS-Patrol union <br />position.
